I just got back from our Spanish field trip to Los Compadres, a Mexican restaurant. It was really good, with excellent salsa. I still don't yet have a prom dress, but I got my ticket yesterday at least. I'll probably get a dress sometime this weekend. I'm trying to think of a thesis for my war class's research paper. Any ideas? There are no limits; it just has to concern some war, battle, or related person. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.

Happy Easter!
Hope everyone who celebrates it had a great Easter! Over here we looked for our baskets on the morning (mine was in the dryer) before going to church. After we got back from that, I talked to Mom and Dad and helped Aunt Jackie get the veggie tray ready. We had Easter dinner at Denise's house, and were over there from 3 to 7. It was very long.
Tomorrow is going to be a homework day. I have to finish up the last few bits of a couple of books, and do little bits of Spanish and chemistry. Just lots of little bits.
I need to find a prom dress sometime in the next week! Bother. I really should do that. I'm going to a Spanish restaurant on Wednesday as a field trip with my class. That should be fun.

I'm Baaaack!
Great trip! Terry picked me up at about 7:45, and we drove back to Gina's to put air in her tires. After that was done, we picked up Thor and headed on down to Madison, not even getting lost! No, we saved that for the drive back. Once we got there, we walked through the capital building, and then hit State Street, where all the hippie stores are. We spent a long time in the capital building, and it is really neat. Lots of marble, gold, and wood. Gina got me a Beatles pin in one of the hippie stores, so I wore that on my poncho. We were all wearing bandanas, and after we got there, Thor bought a pair of blue scrubs which he wore for the rest of the day. We ate pizza for lunch, then continued shopping. We went to a bookstore after lunch, and there, unfortunately, Gina got hit with some awful cramps. Terry and I went and bought some acetometiphane, and then all was well again. There were so many hippie stores! It was wonderful. We only got lost once on the drive back, and that was us almost heading even farther south, which would have been bad. Fortunately, we caught it in time. The drive back seemed longer, but there was lots of good music on the radio, and lots of Beatles. We ate leftover pizza in the car for dinner, and got back to Gina's at around 7:30. It was a really fun time, and Gina and I got ice cream. Mmm, butter pecan...
Well, happy Easter everyone!

Madison tomorrow...
Hello darlings! I've been very bad about writing here, but I'm trying to be better. Mom's daily long notes put mine to shame! At any rate, I'm back again, and will have lots to tell after the great expedition to Madison tomorrow with Gina, Thor, and Terry. It will be major amounts of fun as four money-lacking teens/young adults cruise the vintage clothes and hippie stores.
I made Cuban bread today to eat on the way down, and it looks quite nice. I did my Easter shopping today, since apparently we're having a sort of Easter Bunny version of Secret Santa. Making bread today was fun, though. I should do it more often. I should probably go to bed too. The gang are picking me up at around 7:30 tomorrow morning, which is rather early for a vacation day. At least we'll have lots of time in Madison. Goodnight All!

Well, no luck
Didn't find a prom dress. Actually, I did find a very nice one, and it was 20 dollars off, but the zipper on the one in my size was broken. Here's a link:
I quite like it. It was fun shopping with BreEnna too, though we got quite lost on the way back.
I wish I didn't have to go to school tomorrow. At least we only have to go 2.5 days this week.
Prom
Well, BreEnna and I are going dress shopping later today, after she gets off work. That should be fun. I made peanut butter cookies yesterday, and they turned out quite well. I'm almost through The Mists of Avalon, and it's a very good book. We're not supposed to get any more snow today, but you never know. It doesn't look like snow, anyway.

Wind and the Willows
I just got back from seeing the play. It was absolutely hilarious, although the some of the English accents could have used a little work. No I'm sleepy again, but tomorrow's a Saturday, so I can sleep. We did fun stuff with LEDs in chemistry, and got to decode messages in war. Not too a shabby day, although we didn't get the snow we were promised. Darn it. Maybe more tomorrow. Not that that does me a whole lot of good on a Saturday, but oh well. I should go to sleep now. Yes, sleep is good...

Sleepy
I'm sleepy. I should go to bed. I should also do the last couple of math problems. Darn. I finished Shadow of the Giant tonight, though, so that was satisfying. The VDHs and I are going to go see The Wind and the Willows being performed at the high school tomorrow, so that should be fun.
Ack
My alarm clock didn't have the music turned up loudky enough, so I'm running 15 minutes behind this morning. Ah well. Thor and I watched Alias last night, after struggling through some monster math problems. I think I might have done all right on the chemistry quiz I took yesterday, so that's good. I finally got my copy of Orson Scott Card's Shadow of the Giant. That makes me very happy.

Another day...
Another set of homework to do. At least there isn't any chemistry tonight. Just Spanish and war. I wish the house was warmer. Of course, I wish that Aunt Jackie wouldn't put mushrooms and courgettes in the speghetti sauce too. You can't always get what you want...Isn't that a song? A dearth of math homework is always appreciated too, if only with the amount of free time it allows. I read quite a bit of The Mists of Avalon tonight; I like that book.
